Michelle Keegan terrified by Our Girl stunt

Michelle Keegan was terrified during ‘Our Girl’ stunts.
The 32-year-old actress – who can be seen on screen as military medic Georgie Lane as the fourth series of the military drama gets underway tonight (24.03.20) – admitted she struggled with some of the show’s big action sequences.
Appearing via Skype on ITV’s ‘This Morning’, she said: "We had a Jeep. At the start of the series, you see us upside down in a Jeep and we got that built by stunt guys.
"We had to sit in the car, and literally the car got turned upside down. We were upside down for what felt like a lifetime! I froze because I don’t like heights anyway.
"I remember looking at Rolan (Bell) – who plays Kingy – and he literally saw the panic in my eyes and he undid my seat belt for me just to let me get out. It was really, really frightening! And I know it doesn’t look much, but when you’re doing it it’s terrifying!"
Michelle – who announced earlier this year she would be leaving the role at the end of the new season – also dashed fans’ hopes for romance, particularly with Ben Aldridge’s alter ego Captain Charles James.
She admitted: "No, unfortunately he’s not back this season. She’s married to her job in a sense. She’s very independent, she puts her job first. For her, it’s just trying to get over the death of Elvis. She needs closure for that."
Meanwhile, the former ‘Coronation Street’ star is excited to take on new roles in the future, and she explained the amount of travelling for ‘Our Girl’ made it a tough gig.
She added: "I’ve done it for four years now, and to me it was just exploring other opportunities. You are away home from quite a long time. It was a hard decision, because I absolutely love the job, I do."
‘Our Girl’ returns to BBC One tonight (24.03.20) at 9pm.
