Michelle Keegan was "fantastic" in her first ever movie role.
The 28-year-old actress’ has landed her first film part since leaving ‘Coronation Street’ in June 2015 in British drama ‘Strangeways Here We Come’ in which she plays a student accused of murdering a loan shark.
Michelle stars alongside Stephen Lord in the gritty flick and he is very impressed by how well she has made the transition from the cobbles of Weatherfield to a movie set.
Stephen, 42, told Fubar Radio: "It’s set in my hometown of Salford, on the precinct, so you have got this eclectic mix of characters.
"Michelle was fantastic – as was everybody in it. Everyone was chosen on the merit of them bringing what they can to the party, and I think that’s one of the things I love. It’s great when you see people, the perfect fit for the role, and give them the opportunity to do it right.
And the former ‘EastEnders’ star is predicting a big future for Michelle – who recently married former ‘TOWIE’ star Mark Wright – in films if she retains the same work ethic to go with her talent.
He added: "Michelle’s absolutely lovely – she’s got a great part and she does brilliantly. She’s going from strength to strength. She’s just got the lead in BBC Army drama ‘Our Girl’, she’s doing well."
