Michelle Heaton too busy for Dancing On Ice

Michelle Heaton is too busy to take part in ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The 38-year-old singer previously admitted she’d love to compete on the revamped celebrity skating show, but when she got the offer of appearing in pantomime in her home city of Newcastle, it proved too tempting to refuse, meaning she won’t have time to train for the ice competition.
Asked about her chances of ‘Dancing on Ice’ success, she exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Oh no, I’m not doing it, it would be wonderful, I would have loved to have done it but it’s just not been possible – I’m doing panto this year, up in Newcastle, so that’s took me out of doing any of the shows this year.
"I love doing panto, and as soon as I got offered Newcastle, I had to take it, I get to be with my mum, which is lovely, so I had to take it."
But it isn’t only pantomime keeping Michelle busy as she’s also got a lot of gigs booked with both Atomic Kitten – who she tours abroad with as a stand-in for Liz McLarnon, who is afraid of flying – and Liberty X.
She explained: "Going to Dubai with Atomic Kitten next week then India a few weeks later, I’ve got a few more gigs with the Liberty X girls, I’m writing a book about the menopause so things are really busy at the moment, it’s good."
And Michelle enjoys the challenge of juggling her commitment to both groups.
Speaking at the launch of the NOW TV pop-up ‘Troll’ salon – at which she was joined by her husband, Hugh Hanley, and their kids Faith, five, and AJ, three – in London on Saturday (02.09.17), she said: "It’s alright, it’s not as difficult as you’d think because even though Liberty X is just girls, I think we’re very different from each other and I just love it.
"I grew up with the Kittens and Liz is one of my best mates so it feels natural to be in the band."
Michelle and her family, as well as other guests including Stephanie Pratt, Amy Childs, Imogen Thomas and Linda Robson had the chance to get trolled up at the salon, with stylists offering makeovers inspired by the characters from ‘Trolls’.
‘Trolls’ is now available on TV streaming service NOW TV with a Sky Cinema Pass, available for £9.99, contract free.
