Michael McIntyre returns for biggest BBC show yet

‘Michael McIntyre’s Big Show’ is returning later this year for its longest ever run on BBC One.
The 42-year-old comedian will be back in autumn with the fourth series of his popular entertainment show with eight episodes recorded in front of a live audience at London’s Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.
Michael said: "I’m thrilled at the continued success of the ‘Big Show’. Every series gets bigger and better and series four will be our most ambitious yet.
"There will be new audience surprises as well as returning favourites such as Send to All, the Midnight Gameshow and some extraordinary stunts for the Unexpected Star of the Show. I can’t wait!"
The latest run – which ended with ‘Michael McIntyre’s Big Christmas Show’ on Christmas Eve (24.12.17) – was the most successful to date with an average audience of 6.9 million viewers.
Previous series have featured six episodes including a festive special, and managing director of Hungry McBear Media, Dan Baldwin – whose wife is ‘This Morning’ co-host Holly Willoughby – has voiced his excitement for an expanded set.
He added: "We are delighted ‘Michael McIntyre’s Big Show’ is coming back for an extended run.
"Which means more Midnight Gameshows, more Send To All’s and more Unexpected Stars! Plus we have some exceptional new ideas to throw into the mix.
"Plus Michael has been touring non-stop on his world tour and is on the best form of his life – which is going to lead to an outstanding series for BBC One."
Kate Phillips – BBC’s controller of entertainment commissioning – said: "Michael’s ‘Big Show’ is always a big treat on BBC One and this one promises to be bigger and better than ever. I’m looking forward to more brilliant stand up and stand out games."
