Michael Keaton shuts down questions about Beetlejuice sequel

Michael Keaton has refused to talk about a ‘Beetlejuice’ sequel.
The 64-year-old actor – who played the role of Betelgeuse in the 1988 iconic movie alongside Geena Davis, Alec Baldwin and Winona Ryder – has admitted he used to be keen on the idea of making a follow up movie, but because there’s been nothing set in stone with director Tim Burton he’s fed up of being asked about a potential return.
He said: "It keeps coming back. I don’t even talk about it because I don’t know how many other ways I can say to people that they probably know more about it than I do. I was probably ahead of everybody when I said, ‘Man, that movie was so good. If I ever did something again, it might be that.’ That was probably 15 years ago and then they never did it. Then I hear these things, like everybody else. But I have no idea. Tim’s off doing movies, I’m off doing movies, so I always assume it’s a no. But I don’t know."
Meanwhile, Keaton is set to enter into the DC Comic book world and play the villainous role of Vulture in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ but admits he didn’t know anything about the franchise before he landed the role and had to rely on his friends children to update him.
He told Empire: "It’s extraordinary. You’re talking to a guy who basically knows nothing about the lore of that world. But my friend has two girls who are fascinated by superheroes. One in particular is way, way into them. I’m not kidding, I asked her about Spider-Man and she told me the movies I need to watch."
