Michael B. Jordan worked out "two to three times a day" to star in ‘Creed’.
The 28-year-old actor appears alongside Hollywood legend Sylvester Stallone in the ‘Rocky’ spin-off movie, and he’s revealed the lengths he went to in order to play a convincing boxer.
Speaking about his physical preparation for the role, Michael – who stars as Adonis Johnson Creed – said: "It differed from week to week, but some days it would be boxing and weight lifting. Some days it would just be boxing and cardio. I worked out two to three times a day.
"I ate five to six times a day, every two and a half hours. I drank about a gallon and a half of water every day. Just doing that consistently for about 10 or 11 months, you see a physical change!"
Despite his tough on-screen persona, Michael also revealed there’s a softer side to his real-life personality.
Asked if he’s a lover or a fight, he told Us Weekly: "Both! I’m definitely a lover, but I fight when I have to – for something or someone."
Michael also admitted he still enjoys boxing, despite having finished making the movie.
He shared: "It gives me peace of mind sometimes."
