Metal has always been welcomed at Reading Festival.
After the Britpop period, the early 2000s started to see acts like Slipknot, Marilyn Manson and many more represent the heavier music.
This year sees bands such as Architects play on the main stage showing the festival are doing all they can to support acts in the more obscure field of popular music.
