Melanie Sykes hates Christmas

Melanie Sykes wishes she could "miss" Christmas entirely.
The 47-year-old presenter – who has children Roman, 15, and Valentino, 13, with ex-husband Daniel Caltagirone – hates the "pressure" to have fun during the festive season and would rather use the break to jet off on holiday than enjoy a traditional celebration.
She said: "I hate to say it but I’m not massive on Christmas.
"I hate forced holidays and the pressure that everything has to be beautiful.
"It’s nice – but having dinner with your family any day is.
"I make it nice for the kids but they’re older now, so it’s different.
"My idea of heaven at Christmas is to be in the Caribbean and miss the whole thing."
Melanie previously came third on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ and though she’s interested in being on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, she doesn’t think she’d do very well.
Asked if she’d do another reality show, she said: "The only other one is ‘Strictly’ but I really can’t dance, so probably not, no."
While the brunette beauty had a great time in the jungle, she insists it didn’t change her permanently.
She said: "It was one of the best times and it was so much fun. In those first couple of weeks I’ve never laughed as much.
"We take a lot for granted but it lasts about a month. You come back and go, wow an orange! And then you get over it. I enjoyed having no phones."
