Mel B drops restraining order against nanny

Mel B has dropped her restraining order against her former nanny.
The former Spice Girls singer had previously gone to court in May to ensure Lorraine Gilles and her estranged husband Stephen Belafonte – who she previously claimed had had an affair which resulted in her former employee aborting the producer’s baby – had to stay away from her, but she has now withdrawn the action, ahead of a planned trial.
Both Stephen and Lorraine’s orders were to be merged together to be heard in a trial which was due to begin on Monday (13.11.17) but after Mel settled her case against her estranged husband, lifting his order, last Thursday (09.11.17), she then reached an agreement with her former nanny.
Judge Mark Juhas announced the resolution at LA Superior Court on Monday morning ahead of the scheduled start of the trial, but DailyMail.com revealed the agreement had been reached on Friday (10.11.17).
The judge said in a statement: "In the Brown v Gilles matter the court received information that the case has been resolved. As a result no one will be appearing this morning. The domestic violence restraining order has been dissolved. The civil harassment restraining order was dissolved last Thursday."
As well as her claims of an affair, the 42-year-old singer – who has children Phoenix, 18 and Angel, 11, from past relationships, and six-year-old Madison with Stephen – previously claimed Lorraine and Stephen had tried to blackmail her with sex tapes.
The former employee previously confirmed the existence of the sex tapes, stating she had watched them as recently as in July 2016 on Stephen’s laptop.
In Lorraine’s deposition, the nanny – who previously insisted she had had threesomes with her employers but never with the producer alone – admitted having sex with just Stephen around 10 to 15 times, at least twice around the time when she got pregnant and had an abortion. She previously denied that it was Stephen’s baby.
But she claimed she was forced to partake in sordid sex sessions with the former couple.
Lorraine’s legal papers at the time stated: "At no point did Gilles and Belafonte engage in any sexual acts without Brown’s knowledge or participation and at no point did Gilles and Belafonte represent to Brown that Gilles was pregnant with Belafonte’s child."
Lorraine has filed a defamation action against the ‘America’s Got Talent’ star after being branded a "prostitute" and "homewrecker" in court documents, and her case is still pending.
