Megan Thee Stallion is planning to release Megan: Act III in 2026.
The rap sensation has confirmed that she plans to finish work on the follow-up to 2024’s Megan and Megan: Act II and release new music for her Hotties this year.
In an exciting update, she told People: “I’m definitely in the studio. I’m kind of hiding from everybody right now because I really just want to work.
“I’m completing act three, and the music is dropping this year.
“The Hotties just need to give me a little time. I’ll be in the gym and the studio — the gym and the studio.”
Since the latter record, the WAP hitmaker has released the singles Whatever and Lover Girl, with NME reporting that they are expected to feature on Act III.
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old star previously insisted she is “competitive” and would love to top the charts all the time, but wishes people would actually pay attention to her music before comparing her success to her peers.
Speaking at actress Taraji P. Henson’s I Am the Table Benefit Brunch last October, she said: “Of course, I’m competitive. Of course, rap is competitive, and hell yeah, I wanna win. I wanna be number one, for sure, but that’s not why I do it.
“I felt like, at a point, to please my fans because I love that my fans are very competitive, but I don’t wanna be tongue-wrestling on Twitter with you motherf****** about charting. And y’all don’t even like my music.
“Y’all wanna bully other people because you think that the next girl is not doing as good as me, or you think that I’m not doing as good as the next girl, but did you listen to any of my songs, for real? Do you hear what I’m saying? Do you like what I’m saying? Or you just wanna brag?”
Rap is known for its fierce rivalry, with Megan having clashed with the likes of Nicki Minaj and Eminem.
In 2024, she hit out at her critics for going “too far”.
She said on X: “It’s really sick how yall go out of the way to hurt me when you see me winning. Yall going too far, Fake a** s***. Just know today was your last day playing with me and I mean it. (sic)”
