Megan Fox stars in mobile game Stormfall: Rise of Balur

Megan Fox is starring in mobile game ‘Stormfall: Rise of Balur’.
The 29-year-old actress portrays Amelia Delthanis, Captain of the High Council Guard, in Plarium’s fantasy/strategy title.
Megan is thrilled to make the move from movies to the gaming genre.
In a statement, she said: "I’m really excited to play the role of Amelia in Stormfall. Not only do I get a chance to lead players through the beginning of the game, but it’s fun to play a very empowered, strong female character."
In the context of the social game, Megan’s character is "fierce and strong-willed" but her demeanour resulted in her having to "cut ties with her high-born upbringing, to take up the sword and pursue the path of a warrior".
To gamers, she will act as a "mentor and guide as players join the fight to save Stormfall from the forces of darkness".
Gabi Shalel, vice president of marketing at Plarium, admits the company is incredibly excited to have Megan on board.
Gabi said: "We are thrilled to have Megan become the new face for the Stormfall franchise, one of our most beloved games since ‘Stormfall: Age of War’ came out on social networks in 2011. "Megan’s experience in other blockbuster franchises and action films means that she will be a great addition to our game."
The ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ actress was once a "big gamer" and she’s looking forward to exploring the strategy title – available for iOS and Android – in which she stars in.
Megan – who is currently pregnant with her third child – said: "I’ve not played a lot of strategy-oriented games. I’ve always thought of sort of the explore and conquer genre as more of like a serious gamer type genre. But I feel like that’s opening up a lot more now and it’s becoming a more broad and accessible part of Hollywood and gaming."
‘Stormfall: Rise of Balur’ was released in January 2015 as a sequel to ‘Stormfall: Age of War’ and has over 7.5 million registered users.
Megan’s inclusion is the first in a series of updates coming to the title over the next few months.
The beautiful brunette is latest celebrity to get involved in the world of gaming.
Kate Upton featured in the advertising campaign for Machine Zone’s mobile app ‘Game of War: Fire Age’, while ‘X-Men’ actor Shawn Ashmore plays the lead character in new Xbox One shooter ‘Quantum Break’.
Stars such as Kim Kardashian West and Katy Perry have their own app games, while Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift are currently developing their own titles.
