Max Bowden and Tony Clay forgot cameras were filming during kiss

‘EastEnders’ stars Max Bowden and Tony Clay forgot the cameras were filming their kissing scene.

The on-screen couple – who play Ben Mitchell and Callum Highway on the BBC soap – were so lost in the moment that they forgot they were being watched by other people.

Rewatching the memorable clip on ‘Secrets From The Square’, Max said: "We were at it for hours in the freezing cold. We were kissing for three hours.

"In your head you’d got rid of everyone else and it was just us."

Tony quipped: "After a while you’re thinking, will this ever end?"

The boys were reminiscing about their on-screen romance with host Stacey Dooley as part of the upcoming special, which sees Stacey talk to some of the soap’s stars about behind-the-scenes secrets and unseen footage.

Sharing a clip from their episode, the official ‘EastEnders’ Twitter account wrote: "Here’s a first look at @TonyClay76 and @MaxBowden reliving a very memorable scene with @StaceyDooley, from their episode of EastEnders: Secrets From The Square. Coming very soon. #SFTS #EastEnders. (sic)"

Tony thinks it’s "lovely" his character has been able to find love unexpectedly.

He added: "What makes it lovely is that it’s two boys from broken homes who are just everyday lads and they found each other. It’s beautiful."

‘Secrets From The Square’ will kick off with the Queen Vic’s Kellie Bright and Danny Dyer on June 22, when Kellie reveals things she "doesn’t want people to know" to Stacey in Ian Beale’s restaurant.

Asked what fans can expect to see, Kellie said: "Things I don’t want people to know that I just blurted out!

"They will enjoy seeing the characters, seeing the actors behind the characters, seeing our relationships, and what it’s like interacting with us, you’ll feel like you’re there sat down having a chat."
