Maura Higgins is ‘not too keen’ on the Love Island twins

Maura Higgins is "not too keen" on ‘Love Island’ twins Jess and Eve Gale.
The 29-year-old reality star – who found love with Curtis Pritchard in the previous series – has weighed in on the new Islanders who entered the villa on Sunday (12.01.20), but she is yet to warm to the bombshell twins, who caused a stir on the show when they were forced to break up two pairs by each picking a guy to couple up with.
When asked why she is "not keen" on the pair by Roman Kemp on his Capital Breakfast show on Wednesday (15.01.20), Maura explained: "Not too keen on the twins … no, I just think they’re excluding themselves from the group and I don’t think it’s going to do them any favours."
The blonde beauties were tasked with pulling apart two of the couples when they chose which of the boys they’d like to pair up with, leaving Shaughna Phillips and Leanne Amaning single.
Instead, Maura has taken a liking to Shaughna and even claimed they could be "besties".
She said: "I am loving Shaughna, I think she is so real. I’m loving the craic from her … she’s just real and her one-liners are just epic.
"I reckon if I was in there this year she’d definitely be my bestie."
Maura is currently in the latest series of ‘Dancing On Ice’, but Curtis hasn’t provided her with any helpful tips despite being a professional dancer.
She added: "I’ve not seen him on skates but he’s not helped me at all so cheers Curtis! It’s very different you know, ice skating is very different."
Tune into Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp, weekdays from 6am-10am.
