Matthew Wolfenden excited for ‘chaos’ of a 3rd child

Matthew Wolfenden and Charley Webb are looking forward to the "chaos" of having another child.
The ‘Emmerdale’ co-stars – who have kids Buster, eight, and three-year-old Bowie – are expecting their third child together, and feel as though they are "going from a family to a gang" ahead of their new arrival.
Matthew – who plays David Metcalfe on the ITV soap – said: "We’ve always wanted a big family. It feels different this time as it feels like we’re going from a family to a gang.
"We’re looking forward to the chaos another child will bring."
The pair are yet to find out the sex of their impending arrival, and Charley (Debbie Dingle) doesn’t mind whether she has a boy or a girl.
She said: "Buster was so desperate for Bowie to be a boy and he was, so it would be nice to have that same thing for Bowie.
"It doesn’t matter to me at all. I’m used to boys and I always thought I’d have three boys and a girl, in that order. That’s my instinct but who knows."
But away from real life, Matthew admits his ‘Emmerdale’ storyline will become "hard to play", because he is a dad.
David is currently unaware that his girlfriend, Maya Stepney (Louisa Clein), has been grooming his 15-year-old son Jacob Gallagher, but things are set to "take a turn for the worst".
Speaking in a joint interview with OK! magazine, Matthew added: "At the moment for me it’s not too difficult as David doesn’t have a clue that it’s going on behind his back.
"He’s naïve to it and he thinks his relationship is going really well, but I’ve just read some scripts of when things take a turn for the worst and that will all be quite emotional.
"That’s when it’s going to be difficult for me. The storyline’s set to get darker which will be hard to play, particularly because I’m a dad."
