Matthew McConaughey isn’t romantic at home

Matthew McConaughey’s wife has revealed he isn’t romantic at home.

The 44-year-old actor starred in a string of romantic comedies, including ‘Failure to Launch’ and ‘The Wedding Planner’ in the past, but Camila Alves sometimes wishes he was a bit more like his sweeter characters off-screen.

The 32-year-old Brazilian model was questioned about what Matthew is like in real life when she sat in the audience during his interview on ‘Inside The Actor’s Studio,’ and told host James Lipton: "It’s very funny because people see him onscreen or out there in public in a certain way, and they have this vision of him being this romantic and so passionate. Just very romantic and grabs you and kisses you. And sometimes I’m like, ‘Who is this guy? Can you be a little bit of that?’ "

Pointing at the screen, she added: "Sometimes I’m like, ‘Can we bring that guy home for a little bit?’ "

Asked if his wife, with whom he has sons Levi, five, Livingston, 13 months, and daughter Vida, four, was telling the truth, Matthew said: "Absolutely."

But the ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ star also admitted he fell in to love with Camilla at first sight when they met in a bar on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.

He said: "I didn’t say, ‘Who is that?’ I said, ‘What is that?’ I was like, ‘Woo-ha! Wow!’ "
