Matt Terry’s second stab at stardom

Matt Terry auditioned for ‘The X Factor’ twice.
The 23-year-old hunk may have gone on to win the singing show earlier this month after he sailed through each round with the help of his mentor Nicole Scherzinger, but his vocals haven’t always been a hit as the producers kicked him out of the competition in 2015 after he fluffed his audition before he’d even been seen by the judges.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "It was the second time I auditioned for the ‘X Factor’. I auditioned the year before but I was really ill and didn’t do very well. I didn’t sing that great. I was kicked out in the producer round where you sit in front of people from the show."
However, the ‘When Christmas Comes Around’ singer agreed to come back the following year and give it his all which, in turn, lead to him going straight through to the final against Finnish songstress Saara Aalto.
And, although his win meant that the brunette beauty failed to nab a record deal, the handsome singer is adamant there are no hard feelings between him and Saara and is convinced she’ll do well.
He said recently: "Saara is amazing. Her career is going to fly. She was so happy for me. She was the first person I met on ‘X Factor’ and I was the first person she met. At bootcamp we were sat together on the coach and who knew we’d go all the way through together and be in the finals together. I always say that we were supposed to meet that day. It was really hard to go up against her because we really cared for each other and we just wanted each other to succeed and do well.
