Matt Terry ‘fell in love’ with debut single

Matt Terry "fell in love" with his debut single as soon as he heard it.
The ‘X Factor’ hunk – who was triumphed in the competition last weekend – worked really hard to win over the hearts of the nation after he listened to his recording of ‘When Christmas Comes Around’, written by Ed Sheeran, hours before the live final.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "I literally fell in love with song the second I heard my recording of it and I said to the production team that I have to do this, this has to be my single. I have no words. It’s so cool. I haven’t met Ed but I did tweet him – I told him how much of a genius he is but I don’t know if he’s replied."
And, although he’s only just broken out into the music industry, the 23-year-old star already has his sights set on collaborating with Ed in the near future.
He said: "I would love to duet with him."
But Matt is also keen to help catapult his close friends Freddie Parker and Ryan Lawrie – who were given the boot from the competition before the final – into the limelight by writing with songs with them when he starts work on his debut album.
He said: "Freddie, yeah I’d love to work with him and Ryan! They’re both so good. I would definitely collaborate with them."
