Matt LeBlanc won’t be showing his ‘gear stick’ on Top Gear

Matt LeBlanc and his ‘Top Gear’ co-hosts will be keeping their "gear sticks" in their pants during the upcoming series.
The former ‘Friends’ star fronts the world-famous BBC show alongside Rory Reid and and Chris Harris, but Matt has rubbished the recent suggestion of former host Jeremy Clarkson, who argued that the programme needs more nudity.
Matt joked: "The only nudity will be Chris’ scalp. And anyway, I don’t think we are allowed to be naked."
Of their approach to the much-anticipated new series, Chris told the Daily Star newspaper: "We are ‘tackle-in’ for this series."
Matt, 50, was first announced as ‘Top Gear’ host back in 2016, following Clarkson’s sacking from the BBC for attacking a producer.
And the American is eager to extend his association with the show by signing a new contract.
A BBC insider has told the Daily Mirror newspaper that negotiations between the two parties are "on track".
Meanwhile, Matt recently revealed that he hasn’t spoken to Chris Evans since he walked away from ‘Top Gear’.
The duo worked on the revamped series in 2016 and while Matt insists there is no animosity between them, Matt confessed he hasn’t spoken to the British star recently.
He explained: "You know, I haven’t spoken to Chris. I haven’t. Not because … I just, I’ve been busy, he’s been busy, I have no animosity towards him, you know."
Meanwhile, Matt admitted that despite his role on ‘Top Gear’, he doesn’t consider himself to be a TV presenter.
He revealed: "Presenting is not what I do. I’m an actor, playing the part of a presenter. That’s what I do. So is it really me you see on ‘Top Gear’? Probably not.
"It’s the me that suits the film we’re making. It’s the me that suits the studio portion in front of the crowd."
