Matt LeBlanc ‘doesn’t know’ if he’ll return to Top Gear

Matt LeBlanc "doesn’t know" if he’ll return to ‘Top Gear’.
The 49-year-old actor joined the revamped motoring show earlier this year but has admitted, despite how popular he was with viewers, he’s unsure whether he’ll be pulled back in by the BBC to front the second series of the car programme.
Speaking to the Television Critics Association, he said when asked if he’ll return to the show: "I don’t know. I’d like to. There’s nothing officially happening yet. Follow the BBC."
However, the former ‘Friends’ star has admitted he’d love to land the presenting role again because he thoroughly enjoyed travelling to places like South Africa, Morocco and Ireland.
Asked what his favourite bit of the show was, Matt replied: "Probably the travel. That show has a pretty broad demographic. Everybody can relate to an automobile."
Meanwhile, it’s been reported in recent weeks that Matt will front the show alone after his co-host Chris Evans quit in June – a year into his three-year contract – after the final episode pulled in its lowest viewing figures since 2002.
A source said recently: "Matt is going to get the big job on his own. There are already active negotiations and he’s almost certain to sign now that he doesn’t have to work with Chris. Chris won’t be replaced but Matt will become the star presenter surrounded by the existing team."
