Mathew Knowles wants to concentrate on being Beyoncé’s father.
The 64-year-old talent manager – who is believed to have had a strained relationship with his daughter ever since he was fired as her manager in 2011 – insists his focus now is on being a dad to the 34-year-old singer.
Speaking to a photographer in a video obtained by TMZ, he said: "Were we ever in bad graces? My kids wanted to be entrepreneurs. I developed and taught them to be entrepreneurs. Every family has been out of graces."
When asked if he intends to manage her again, he simply added: "No, I’m going to be her dad."
Meanwhile, the mother-of-one – who has four-year-old daughter Blue Ivy with her husband Jay Z – recently posed for a photo with her "proud" father backstage at her ‘Formation’ world tour concert in Houston, Texas.
Beyoncé’s mother Tina – who is now married to actor Richard Lawson – captioned the photo: "Houston Concert proud dad!!!! (sic)"
The alleged feud between son and daughter was said to have been ignited in 2010 when Mathew acknowledged that he had fathered a son, Nixon, with Alexsandra Wright, culminating in the end of his marriage to Tina.
Meanwhile, Brian ‘Kenny’ Moore, Beyoncé’s former manager, previously claimed he isn’t surprised by the allegations that Jay Z cheated on the singer – which she seemed to allude to in her new album ‘Lemonade’ – because she is just "reliving" the heartache her mother Tina endured during her marriage to Mathew.
He explained: "That’s how it appears to be. Beyoncé’s reliving her mother’s position. Her father’s cheating is well known and just because you’re Beyoncé, it doesn’t mean the cycle will change.
"Most girls marry guys exactly like their fathers. If you have an a**hole father, the daughter will usually marry an a**hole guy. Beyoncé saw the infidelity her mother put up with and it was hard on her. But Beyoncé, being in the same position, I’m damn sure she wouldn’t get a divorce.
"Some in their camp told me Jay Z isn’t cheating but if he has, it would be the second coming of the father and nobody needs that."
