Mary Berry for Who Do You Think You Are?

Mary Berry, Julie Walters and Billy Connolly will appear on ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’

The hit BBC One family history show is celebrating its tenth anniversary and 100th episode this year by inviting the ‘Great British Bake Off’ star, the BAFTA-winning actress and the popular comedian to trace their ancestry.

The latest series will mark a decade on air for the hit show, which will be commemorated with a one-hour special highlighting the show’s best moments and interviews with a host of past celebrity guests.

Other stars who will feature in the new series include actor Brian Blessed, ‘Mrs Brown’s Boys’ star Brendan O’Carroll, actress Sheridan Smith, radio DJ Reggie Yates, ‘EastEnders’ actress Tamzin Outhwaite, model Twiggy and TV actor Martin Shaw.

BBC’s commissioning editor for documentaries Maxine Watson said: "Since its launch in 2004, audiences have savoured the often unexpected and emotional journeys into family history. As we celebrate 10 fantastic years in 2014, another 10 famous faces discover more about themselves through their past.

"The new series promises to continue to deliver BBC One audiences the laughter, tears and surprising revelations of family ancestry as only Who Do You Think You Are? can."
