Mark Wright to host history documentary

Mark Wright is set to front a history documentary.
The former ‘TOWIE’ star is stepping out of his comfort zone and making a documentary, which is "about something that’s happened in history".
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Mark explained: "It’s a project I’m passionate about.
"It’s going to be serious, it’s not fly-on-the-wall."
His new passion comes after he appeared on BBC One’s ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ in September to dive deep into his father’s side of the family.
Mark discovered an Andalusian swordsman among his Spanish ancestors, and a relative burned at the stake during the Inquisition.
The 33-year-old presenter – who wed Michelle Keegan in 2015 – is currently hopping between the UK and the US to present American entertainment show ‘Extra’ part-time, but his new gig will allow him to spend more time at home with his wife.
He said: "We had a crazy couple of years but now we are in England we get to spend more time together, it’s great.
"I left my full time position on ‘Extra’ but they have worked something out where I come back and [forth]."
Michelle recently decided to quit her role as Army medic Georgie Lane in ‘Our Girl’ after four years, with her final episodes set to air later this year.
The 32-year-old actress admitted it was a "very hard decision" to depart the show but she wants to look for new career opportunities.
However, the brunette beauty isn’t interested in basing her career outside of the UK full-time.
She said: "I’d love to work in America but I couldn’t see myself living out there full time. I’m a home bird. It won’t be permanent. Definitely not … when I’ve been out in Los Angeles, even if I’m ordering a coffee or something they think I’m Australian.
"I have to slow down a lot and pronounce my words to make it a bit easier."
