Mark Webber will star in Joe Dante’s Labirintus

Mark Webber has been cast in Joe Dante’s ‘Labirintus’.
The 69-year-old director – famous for ‘Gremlins’ and ‘The Howling’ – has confirmed the ‘Green Room’ actor will star alongside An American Haunting’s Rachel Hurd-Wood and Lorant Deutsch in the "spine-tingling" supernatural thriller, written by Alan Campbell.
Speaking to Variety about the upcoming project, Dante said: "Mark, Rachel and Lorant are phenomenal actors and I am delighted to be working with them in what I anticipate will be a suspenseful, compelling, spine-tingling chiller."
‘Labirintus’ will follow paranormal investigator (Mark), a psychiatric researcher played by Rachel and Lorant, who plays an engineer, who all team up to explore an abandoned subterranean Soviet Union research facility beneath Buda Castle, but are plagued by supernatural beings.
Pascal Degove – the managing director of Goldcrest – who, alongside Nick Quested, will be handling the production’s sales – said: "Joe’s planning to deliver a chilling thrill for audiences and having the right cast is essential in achieving that. It’s very exciting to have Rachel, Mark and Lorant on board and to be shooting so soon."
‘Labirintus’ also has the backing of Fabrice Lambot, Lucy Mukerjee-Brown, Elizabeth Stanley and Jean-Charles Levy of Forecast Pictures who will produce the upcoming movie, although a release date is yet to be confirmed.
