Mark Wahlberg launches car dealership with Chevrolet

Mark Wahlberg is turning his hand to selling automobiles.
The 47-year-old actor – who has daughters Ella, 14, and Grace, eight, and sons Brendan, nine, and Michael, 12, with his wife Rhea Durham – has teamed up with Chevrolet to launch a new car dealership with the brand’s top dealer Jay Feldman in Columbus, Ohio.
The ‘Deepwater Horizon’ actor said: "I am continuously looking for ways to innovate my brand and engage in businesses I am passionate about.
"I love cars and the chance to work with an experienced, proven dealer-operator like Jay and represent an iconic brand like Chevrolet inspired me to get involved."
The pair are already said to be planning to open further dealerships in the future, according to USA Today.
Jay, president and CEO of Feldman Automotive, added: "The Wahlberg brand is all about Americana."
The ‘Ted’ star and Jay are already business partners as they operate Mark and his brothers’ hamburger restaurant chain, Wahlburgers, in Cleveland, and diners in the state of Georgia.
Wahlburgers have 26 chains in total and the flagship restaurant opened in Hingham, Massachusetts, in 2011.
Meanwhile, it was revealed last month that Mark’s film ‘Mile 22’ is set to get a sequel.
The first part of the action thriller film – which sees the hunk play James Silva – won’t hit cinema screens until August 17, but it looks like bosses are already predicting it a success as they’ve given the go-ahead for the second instalment.
And STX Entertainment aren’t hanging around as they have already enlisted writer Umair Aleem to pen the sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
However, it’s not yet known where the film company executives are keen to take the second part and whether they already have a release date in mind.
‘Mile 22’ tells the story of an elite American intelligence agent (Wahlberg) who tries to secretly move a police officer with sensitive information out of a foreign country.
The cast also features Lauren Cohan, Ronda Rousey and John Malkovich.
