Mark Ronson: Lady Gaga’s new album is incredible

Mark Ronson says Lady Gaga’s new album is some of the most "favourite music" he’s ever worked on.
The 40-year-old superstar producer – who has produced albums for Amy Winehouse and Adele in the past – has been working non-stop with the ‘Poker Face’ hitmaker on her eagerly-anticipated fourth studio album and while he doesn’t want to give anything away he said it’s nothing short of "incredible".
Speaking to Zane Lowe on his Apple Beats 1 Radio show, he said: "We’ve been working on this record for a while.
"I can’t really get into it too much – I’m not trying to be coy, but I feel like it’s not my place. When the time’s right to tell the story, I feel like she should tell.
"But it’s some of my favourite music I’ve really ever worked on. It’s incredible – I love it."
The ‘Uptown Funk’ hitmaker is loving working on the record so much that it doesn’t bother him when they finish a studio session in the early hours and get up early again to start work.
He added: "It’s very rare you’re working on something and you go to bed at 3am in the morning and you wake up at 8am and you just cannot wait to get back to the studio to work on that thing you want to work on."
Mark has been teaching Gaga how to play the guitar for the new record.
He previously said: "She’s never played guitar in public before. She’s great on piano, but, guitar is something she is learning for this record. And she just smashed it. I showed her things and she’s such a fast learner and as a performer her charisma is insane so she could have carried it anyway."
And as of last month, Moroccan-Swedish producer RedOne – who has worked with the singer since her 2008 debut LP, ‘The Fame’ – said the 30-year-old pop beauty had completed a total of eight tracks.
Asked what we can expect from the record, RedOne – whose real name is Nadir Khayat – previously said: "It’s a mixture of classic music and futuristic too – I didn’t want to go too far from what she is. We kept it [similar to] what Gaga is what she’s done all these years. It’s special.
"All I know is that we did eight great songs so far, and I think we have incredible songs."
Gaga has also been working with Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker and BloodPop – the mastermind behind Justin Bieber’s ‘Sorry’ – on the album.
The currently untitled album is the follow-up to 2013’s ‘Artpop’.
