Mark-Francis Vandelli’s parents have "disowned" him for appearing on ‘Made In Chelsea’.
The 25-year-old reality star admits his fiercely private mother and father, socialite Diana and Italian ex-industrialist Marzio don’t agree with his decision to air his life on screen.
He told HELLO! magazine: "They don’t watch television because they’re always abroad and it’s very foreign to them.
"They have spent their lives trying to avoid publicity so I’ve destroyed a life’s work in that sense.
"Look, I’m an only child so my parents invariably have high expectations for me."
Despite being a fan favourite on the show, Mark insists he isn’t famous because he hasn’t achieved anything of note.
He said: "Fame? I don’t know fame. I have no idea what fame feels like. I’d call it being recognised.
"To be famous, you have to really achieve something – and I hope to in my life – but it really is being recognised.
"I’m always very flattered and maybe that’s why I’ve continued doing the show – the response over time has been so surprisingly positive."
