Mario Falcone thinks he and Vicky Pattison may end up together in the future – despite her declaring her love for someone else.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star briefly romanced the 28-year-old beauty earlier this year but, although things fizzled out between them, he’s convinced there’s still hope for a reunion.
Speaking to the MailOnline, he said: "We both tried to make it work. I’m busy away a lot and if you haven’t got time for yourself, how are you going to make time for someone else? We’re such good friends. We get along so well. We had to make it a mutual decision, unless we can give it our all we’re going to end up ruining our friendship. So we decided remain friends, and it could happen in the future but at the moment we’ll stay friends."
However, it seems Vicky has other ideas as she has recently declared her love for her best friend Alex Cannon on national television.
The former ‘Geordie Shore’ star started to develop romantic feelings for the hunk after they worked together on her MTV show ‘Judge Geordie’ but she’s terrified about taking things to the next level in case it all goes wrong.
She said on ‘Loose Women’ earlier this week: "I’ve got a massive confession and bit of a dilemma. […] I’ve got a best friend, who is a boy, and we’ve been best friends for about a year and a half, practically inseparable. We worked together at first, but then it grew to something more, and now I think I’m totally head over heels in love with him.
"There are plenty of lads that I could ruin stuff with. That I could go out with for six months and they could cheat, or I could do something wrong, and we’d fall out and never speak again.
"This is the one lad that I can’t lose. I don’t wanna lose him. And if it means keeping him as a friend, then I suppose I’ll have to make do with that."
However, Vicky has fallen so deep for the 28-year-old model – who is currently competing in this year’s ‘Big Brother’ – that she’s threatened to burn down the infamous Channel 5 house if any of the female contestants attempt to make a move on her man.
