Mario Falcone has got engaged.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star popped the question to his girlfriend Becky Miesner – who moved in with him last October after just three months of dating – while they were holidaying in Santorini, Greece, over the weekend.
Taking to his Instagram account, the hunk uploaded a photograph of him down on one knee alongside the caption: "She said YES!! Very very happy and lucky (sic)."
The pair began dating last summer but he admitted a few months in that he could see himself settling down with the salon owner and having children with her.
He said at the time: "I’m planning to propose maybe later this year or next…
"I think I knew [she was The One] from the first moment we started going out. It’s just easy. We don’t argue. Becky has her own businesses and works hard and my family love her too. I’ve never been with someone who I look forward to seeing all the time. I couldn’t imagine myself without her now."
But when the couple do tie the knot, Mario – who was previously engaged to ‘TOWIE’ co-star Lucy Mecklenburgh – won’t allow the TV cameras into their wedding.
He said: "The best thing about this relationship is that it’s not in the public eye. It’s controlled, which I never had when I was on the show. It’s Becky’s day, not ‘TOWIE’s."
Although he wasn’t impressed with the treatment he got on the ITVBe show, the 29-year-old heartthrob made an appearance in the last series and is hoping it will lead to a more permanent position on the show, though Becky isn’t interested in the programme.
