Marilyn Manson has vowed to make his late mother "proud".
The ‘Beautiful People’ hitmaker has been left devastated after his beloved parent Barbara Warner lost her battle with dementia last Tuesday (13.05.14) aged 68 and paid tribute to her on his Facebook page.
He wrote: "To my Mother, the first and greatest believer in me…I hope I see you again someday. But not now, because I have more things I promised I would do.
"I’ll make you proud and satisfied that you know you made the son you wanted.
"I love you."
The funeral service was private, and Barbara’s family requested for donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
Manson – who was previously married to Dita Von Teese and engaged to Evan Rachel Wood – is currently dating fashion model and photographer Lindsay Usich, and previously admitted he is keen to start a family with her so that their little one can ”breathe profanity”.
He explained: ”My girlfriend Lindsay’s twin just had a baby and I’ve started to think that maybe I wouldn’t mind passing my demented genius on to some small thing who can set fire and breathe profanity.”
