Maisie Smith would love full Strictly Come Dancing stint

Maisie Smith would "love" to appear on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

The 18-year-old actress won a special ‘EastEnders’ version of the BBC Latin and ballroom competition last year for charity telethon ‘Children In Need’, and she is definitely up for testing out her skills on the main show.

She told Inside Soap magazine: "I would love to! Honestly, I don’t know where [my sassy moves] came from, but I pulled it out the bag at the last minute."

Maisie – who plays Tiffany Butcher on the soap – was delighted with the ‘Strictly’ experience, and she’s keen to see how she could improve with more than "a week of training".

She added: "’Children In Need’ was the most fun ever, and that was after only a week of training.

"So, yea, to do it week after week, I’d definitely be up for that!"

Maisie faced tough competition, as she was joined by co-stars Ricky Champ (Stuart Highway), Louisa Lytton (Ruby Allen) and Rudolph Walker (Patrick Trueman).

She captured the Pudsey Glitterball Trophy alongside her pro partner Kevin Clifton, and at the time she spoke of her joy over the special charity show.

Speaking to hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, she said: "I had the most amazing week, I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful team by my side, it’s just been amazing."

However, fans needn’t worry about Maisie leaving ‘EastEnders’ as she previously revealed she would love to emulate the longevity of Albert Square legend June Brown, who played Dot Cotton into her 90s.

Discussing her soap ambitions, she admitted: "That would be quite cool, wouldn’t it? To have my entire life shown on ‘EastEnders’.

"If I started and ended my career like Dot, that’s pretty iconic. It’s definitely the goal."
