Lydia Bright returns to The Only Way is Essex

Lydia Bright is returning to ‘The Only Way is Essex’.

The bubbly brunette – who was on the reality TV show from 2010 until 2012 – will make an explosive arrival in tomorrow night’s (02.04.14) finale when she turns up to cause trouble for her deceiving ex-boyfriend James ‘Arg’ Argent.

The 22-year-old beauty, who split up with the funnyman two years ago, wants answers after Arg, 26, revealed in his autobiography ‘Living it Arg’ that he cheated on Lydia with his former co-star Amy Childs a few years ago.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Lydia came down to Jess Wright and Ricky’s party on Sunday night (30.03.14), and she finally came face to face with Arg.

"The Amy thing really upset her because she felt like she was being paranoid at the time when she suspected Arg.

"But now she knows her worst fears were genuine. It’s been difficult for her to think about, even though it was ages ago."

Meanwhile, bosses are hopeful Lydia’s return will encourage viewers to stay hooked on the programme after Mark Wright left in 2011, Joey Essex quit last year and Sam Faiers is rumoured to be bowing out this year.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "The show has lost some big characters like Mark Wright and Joey Essex and now with Sam going, they need to make sure ‘TOWIE’ stays on top.

"People do come back. Lydia will be the first familiar face to return."
