Lydia Bright: James ‘Arg’ Argent and I could be living in Spain

Lydia Bright thinks she and James ‘Arg’ Argent would be living together in Spain if they hadn’t joined ‘The Only Way Is Essex’.

The couple have enjoyed an on-again off-again relationship since joining the ITV2 reality series and although Lydia doesn’t blame their break-ups on the show, she admits their lives could’ve been very different if they’d never joined.

Quizzed on what she’d be doing now if she’d never been on TOWIE, she told Now magazine: "I actually don’t know … I took a gap year and was working in admin in Camden. I hated it – I found it really boring.

"Then my auntie said James and I should go and work in her bar in Spain, so we moved there and shortly after that, TOWIE came up. So who knows what would’ve happened?

"Maybe I would’ve gone to uni [university] or perhaps me and James would still be living in Spain."

The blonde beauty reunited with her former flame when she returned to the reality show in the latest series, and although they’re not officially back together, Lydia, 23, thinks there will always be something between them.

She said: "Me and James have a long history – we were together for three years before the show and a year when we were on it.

"We’re just two normal people from Essex who’ve been on this massive rollercoaster. Our lives have completely changed."
