Lucy Fallon wants to take up pole dancing

Lucy Fallon wants to have lap dance lessons after her ‘Coronation Street’ alter-ego Bethany Platt started working in a strip club.
The 22-year-old actress has expressed a desire to perfect her pole dancing skills after teenager Bethany took up a job in a bar, following a traumatic year which saw her caught up in a sex ring.
The blonde beauty would love to spice up her "sexy side" after previously enjoying a class for her sister’s hen party.
Lucy told The Sun newspaper: "I don’t have to pole-dance in scenes, although I would love to learn. I think my sister Racheal would like to as well so maybe we’ll start going to some lessons soon. Hopefully it will help me bring out my inner sexy side.
"For my sister’s hen do last year we went to a pole-dancing fitness class and it was so good. I really got into it and it’s so difficult.
"You have to have so much upper body strength and the next day I could barely lift my arms up. I felt like I had hurt myself. It was the first time that I felt like I’d given my body a proper work out, so I would love to take it up. It was so good."
Lucy – who has portrayed Bethany in the ITV soap since 2015 – previously admitted she agrees with viewers of the show that her character needs to have some "fun" after her harrowing child grooming storyline, which saw Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) sent down on rape and conspiracy to rape charges.
The soap star – who is up for Best Actress at the National Television Awards – said recently: "I’d like for Bethany to have a bit of fun.
"I don’t get to play a lot of comedy scenes. It’s all gritty and emotional. I’d love to film scenes with more of the funny characters."
Currently, Bethany is working in the strip club after a trip to Milan, Italy, and any sign of happiness seems a long way off as Lucy recently revealed her character is still on the "really long road to recovery" after the horrific ordeal.
She said: "It’s the way she is dealing with it. It’s going to be a really long road to recovery."
Despite the deep and twisted plotline Lucy has acted out over the last few months, she has no plans to leave Weatherfield.
