Lucy Fallon to head to Glastonbury Festival

Lucy Fallon is attending this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
The 21-year-old actress has spent the past six months in emotional turmoil as she’s been playing out a harrowing grooming story, which has seen her alter-ego Bethany Platt manipulated by her older boyfriend Nathan Curtis (Chris Harper) and used for sex, on screen but is looking forward to escaping the set for a few days this weekend to attend the music extravaganza in Pilton, Somerset, with her boyfriend Tom Leech.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Lucy said: "We are going to Glastonbury so this is the start of a week of partying. I’m off work and we go on Tuesday. We are going for the full thing. I’ve never been before and I’m camping.
"We are in a tepee thing. I’ve been to a lot of festivals. I can’t wait to see Ed Sheeran. And I’m looking forward to Liam Gallagher and Lorde."
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty has admitted the scenes on the show are set to get even more "difficult" to watch as Nathan will try to persuade the school girl to go to Belgium where he plans to sell her as a sex slave.
Lucy said: "People are going to say it’s difficult to watch. That’s been a running theme throughout the whole storyline. But people have been so positive. People see how important it really is because this is actually happening.
"A lot of people are now messaging me on Instagram or coming up to me on the street and saying ‘this happened to me’.
"It is nice and it makes me feel we’ve done it positively.
"There are 3,000 cases in a year in the UK of this kind of thing and they think if people spoke more about it – because people don’t talk about it – it could be double that."
