Lubna Farhan’s ‘heart wasn’t in’ Apprentice task

Lubna Farhan admitted that "her heart wasn’t in the task" as she became the latest candidate fired from ‘The Apprentice’.
Lubna, 33 was dismissed by Lord Sugar in Wednesday’s (23.10.19) episode and although she felt she wasn’t to blame for her team’s failure, she felt relief at her exit as she missed her two children.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she said: "No, I wasn’t the reason for the failure of the task. My heart wasn’t in it, my mind wasn’t there. My heart wasn’t in the process so I was probably the right person to go. I couldn’t be bothered to fight as I wanted to go home to my kids.
"I was missing my children and really struggling without them."
Lubna, a finance manager hailing from Luton, was singled out by Lord Sugar and fellow team members for her lack of contribution to the task, but she felt that the programme had not reflected her efforts.
"I did contribute but that wasn’t shown. I didn’t make sales but Scarlett (Allen-Horton) was given three opportunities to make sales. She’s a better salesperson than me but she didn’t make any sales either."
"I contributed to every element of the task, I wasn’t loud, I was just myself. Just because I’m an introvert doesn’t mean I can’t become Lord Sugar’s business partner."
Lubna said that she wanted Thomas Skinner, 29, to win Lord Sugar’s investment, despite bringing her back to the boardroom after the team lost the task. She pointed out that he was very "gentlemanly" compared to other candidates.
She explained: "I’d love Thomas Skinner to win. He’s very hardworking and has done very well for himself.
"He was great gentleman in the house, always very nice to me. Some of the people who come from educated backgrounds were less gentlemanly than Thomas and he didn’t have that privilege. "
Lubna also had some advice for Lottie Lion, 19, who was at odds with her team during the task.
She said: "I would say Lottie has good ideas for someone so young. She’s got really good instinct and is very articulate. But she has a lot to learn in terms of respecting others. She’s quite strong and I wish her well."
