Love Island’s Samira Mighty ‘sued’ for quitting West End job without warning

Love Island’s Samira Mighty is reportedly being sued after she allegedly walked out of her job in the West End musical ‘Dreamgirls’ to take part in the dating show.
The 22-year-old actress-and-dancer worked as an ensemble member in the successful show at London’s Savoy Theatre before she waltzed into the sun-soaked villa looking for love, but she may be forced to pay out £3,000 in compensation to Sonia Friedman Productions – the company in charge of the musical – after she reportedly left them in the lurch by allegedly quitting her role with one day’s notice after calling in sick.
A source told The Sun Online: "She won’t walk into a job any time soon. Her name is mud and her behaviour totally unprofessional."
The brunette beauty – who trained at the Millennium Performing Arts school in Woolwich for three years – previously said leaving her musical career in order to enter the villa was a no-brainer because it will help accelerate her solo music career.
She told the Metro.co.uk: "I was in ensemble so it was quite easy to fill, I didn’t have a cover that was harder to cast, so someone from last year is doing it now.
"It was win win, if I carried on in ‘Dreamgirls’ – it’s fantastic and I love it so much – but in five months I may be unemployed again.
‘Love Island’ was fantastic, I couldn’t turn it down. I also write my own music so it would be great to get my music out on YouTube."
And Samira – who previously starred in ‘Mamma Mia’ at the Novello Theatre – has certainly made her mark in the villa as she shared a four-way kiss with Josh Denzel, Charlie Frederick and Hayley Hughes in an episode that aired earlier this week.
