Love Island’s Ollie Williams quits show to follow his heart

Love Island’s Ollie Williams quit the show because he had to "follow" his heart.
The 23-year-old contestant admitted in the Beach Hut before his departure – just three days into the winter series – that he is in love with "someone else" on the outside and he didn’t think it would be fair to continue getting to know Paige Turley.
He said: "I have to be honest with myself, and everyone, that I do still love someone else. I have to follow my heart in this scenario and it would be wrong for me to ignore these feelings. At the end of the day, this is ‘Love Island’ and it’s about finding love. If I carried on anything with Paige, or any other girl that might come into the villa, it wouldn’t be fair on them."
It’s believed the woman Ollie still has feelings for is his ex-girlfriend Laura Nofer, who he dated for 18 months before splitting from her last year.
Although he was only in the villa for three days, Ollie certainly caused a stir as thousands of people called for him to be removed from the series after photographs emerged of him allegedly posing with dead animals.
Ofcom also received more than 200 complaints about "trophy hunter" Ollie being included in the show in the first place.
A listing with Companies House states that Ollie – who claims to be the heir of the Lanhydrock estate in Cornwall – is the sole director of Cornish Sporting Agency, which gives its nature of the business as "hunting" and "trapping".
‘Love Island’ producers always insisted they had "no intention" of getting rid of Ollie because of his hunting past.
