Love Island to get autumn spin off?

‘Love Island’ bosses are reportedly planning an autumn spin-off show.
The dating programme has proved such a hit with fans this time around – beating Channel 5’s ‘Big Brother’ in the viewings war – that producers are hoping to do another series later this year based on the couples whether have managed to stay together.
A source told The Sun Online: "Some relationships will be nothing more than a summer holiday romance but there’s some that are going to last a lot longer.
"Each of the couples have already been pushed to the limits in a very false environment and once they’re back home, they will have more time to themselves away from the camera. There are already discussions behind the scenes as to doing a follow-up series later this year where viewers can see if islanders have stayed together at home – and whether they’re following in the footsteps of last year’s couples like Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen.
"It’s a no brainer for Love Island bosses to do a follow-up as the show has been a runaway success and everyone’s desperate to see more of their favourite couples."
This isn’t the only spin-off the show is getting either as there will also be ‘Love Island Heading Home’, a one-off special episode at the end of the series that sees the couples leave the idyllic island of Mallorca, Spain, and head back to the UK for a reunion with their families.
And, although the show isn’t over yet, recently-eliminated contestant Sam Gowland has revealed that the islanders will be reuniting on August 2 for Marcel Somerville’s birthday.
He said: "We’ve already made a plan to all go out on Marcel’s birthday which is August 2. We’re all going to the pub during the day and having a bit of a pub crawl and then having a night out in Newcastle. Every single person that was ever on Love Island is invited. I have no enemies from the show whatsoever."
