Love Island stars snubbed for reunion special

Some of ‘Love Island’s biggest stars have been snubbed for a reunion special.

The likes of Arabella Chi and Hayley Hughes have been overlooked for the special, which is said to have sparked anger among some of the ITV show’s former stars, with an insider saying it’s "put a few noses out of joint".

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Those involved are very excited, but it has put a few noses out of joint among stars who haven’t been asked, especially those who think they are bigger names than those who have.

"Unfortunately things have got a bit nasty between some. At first it was just going to be the finalists from each series, but once exceptions started being made it really sparked anger and resentment."

The likes of Megan Barton Hanson, Tommy Fury, Molly-Mae Hague and Wes Nelson have all been included in the upcoming special.

But ITV hasn’t been able to feature some of the other popular cast members from years gone by.

A TV insider explained: "It’s just not possible to have everyone on in three episodes – so unfortunately the reality is some people have had to miss out.

"A few of them have kicked off a bit about it, but that’s just life. They can squabble among themselves all they want."

Meanwhile, ITV has confirmed it was forced to exclude some former cast members because the broadcaster simply couldn’t accommodate all of them.

A spokesperson said: "There have been many fantastic Islanders over the years.

"This three-part series will feature some of them and will allow viewers to catch up with their lives since their time in the villa."
