Love Island star Mike Boateng to make a move on Sophie Piper

Mike Boateng will make a move on Sophie Piper on ‘Love Island’ tonight (29.01.20).
The 24-year-old police officer was left heartbroken when his partner Leanne Amaning called things off during Tuesday’s (28.01.20) episode, but on Wednesday night, he will be seen moving on from the 22-year-old customer services advisor to instead try a romance with Sophie.
The 21-year-old personal assistant was recently left single when her fellow islanders voted to dump her partner Connor Durman from the ITV2 reality show, and so Mike won’t be stepping on any of his pals’ toes if he gets to know her.
Speaking to Callum Jones and Nas Majeed, Mike says: "I am going to crack on. My feelings for Leanne were real. When I feel like the time is right, potentially there could be people in here already that I might be looking at … I feel like me and Jess got on a lot. And I kind of blocked that off. Also, I never really gave Rebecca a chance. I’ve not been able to speak to her at all. And then there’s one more person … Sophie.
"It’s a sticky one. We all love Connor. But in terms of attraction, I can’t lie, she’s a beautiful girl."
And in the Beach Hut, he adds: "I would like to get to know more about Sophie if the opportunity comes to kind of explore that a bit more then I’ll definitely be open to taking it."
But Leanne may not take the news well, as she will admit to Jess Gale that she already misses the company of the hunk.
She says: "It’s so weird."
And when Jess asks if she wants Mike back, Leanne adds: "I don’t feel like I want him back. I miss the company. It’s always nice to have someone there. Everyone’s in their couples. I was fine … and then you know when it just randomly hits you?"
Wednesday night’s episode will also see one girl dumped from the villa, as the boys are in charge of the recoupling.
A text sent to Luke Mabbott reads: "Islanders, tonight there will be a Recoupling. The boys will choose who they want to couple up with, the girl not picked will be dumped from the Island #nogirlcode #getgraftingorgohome (sic)"
