Louisa Lytton’s ‘overwhelming’ EastEnders filming

Louisa Lytton felt "overwhelmed" filming her ‘EastEnders’ court room scenes.
The 30-year-old star is set for a big week on the BBC One soap when her alter-ego Ruby Allen heads to court to pursue her rape case, and the former ‘The Bill’ actress admits it was tough to shoot such scenes among so many strangers.
She said: "It was quite overwhelming. On the day I was in a room full of people I didn’t know. I guess it was the nature of the story.
"I was overwhelmed filming that day."
Louisa returned to Albert Square last year after 12 years away from Walford, and despite appearing in numerous projects in between – such as starring in movie ‘American Pie Presents: The Book of Love’, Shakespearean plays ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ and ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, and a guest stint in medical drama ‘Casualty’ – she feels like she never left the London soap.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, she added: "Within two days I felt like I’d never left. I was like, ‘What have I been doing for 12 years?’"
Louisa recently admitted she has felt "a lot of pressure" to make the storyline look realistic, because she wants to "do it justice" for rape victims.
She said: "There was a lot of pressure on me and the show to do it justice for the survivors of rape.
"I’ve worked closely with Rape Crisis to ensure the way I act is realistic, so I knew we were safe in our portrayal of it."
