Louis Tomlinson has reached out to former girlfriend Eleanor Calder after splitting from Danielle Campbell.
The 25-year-old singer ended his romance with Danielle, 22, after 14 months of dating, and it has been reported the ‘Just Hold On’ hitmaker has sought comfort from his previous lover – who he dated for four years before calling time on their romance in 2015 – following his recent break-up, which came merely a few weeks after the death of his mother Johannah Deakin in December.
And it is believed Louis went directly to Eleanor because he believes she is the only person he can "rely" on during this difficult time as he copes with his grief.
The source told The Sun newspaper: "Louis has had a rough ride the past few months and Eleanor wants him to know she is there if he needs anybody to talk to. They were together for a number of years and Louis feels he can rely on her."
And Louis – who has 12-month-old son Freddie with his previous partner Briana Jungwirth – has vowed to maintain a friendship with Danielle and hold "no bad feeling" towards one another.
Speaking previously about their break-up, a separate source said: "Louis and Danielle have made the decision to split up but they are still going to be mates. They’re still talking to each other and there is no bad feeling whatsoever."
