Lorde has quashed rumours she is dating Jack Antonoff.
The ‘Green Light’ singer went live on Instagram on Friday (23.02.18) to chat to her fans, and during her stream she commented on growing speculation she is romancing producer Jack – who recently split from Lena Dunham – by stating that whilst she thinks he’s "awesome" the pair are not dating.
When one fan asked if she was in a relationship with 33-year-old musician, Lorde – whose real nam is Ella Yelich-O’Connor – said: "Guys, no! Jack and I are not dating … I love him. He’s awesome, but we’re not dating!"
It comes after Jack was previously forced to take to Twitter to insist he is still single following his split from ‘Girls’ creator Lena, after it was speculated he had struck up a romance with 21-year-old Lorde.
He wrote: "Normally i would never address rumors but i resent having the most important friendships and working relationships in my life reduced to dumb hetero normative gossip. those relationships are deeply important and sacred. with that said, im not seeing anyone. lol. (sic)"
Lena, 31, announced last month that she and Jack had called time on their romance, after having been together for almost six years.
In a video posted to her Instagram account, Lena said: "I’m wearing this ring that Jack gave me, and I’ll always wear it because love is a really cool, powerful, eternal thing. It doesn’t have to be defined the way that we, in Western culture, define it as beginnings and ends … Things can be, ‘You know what, you’re a drop of water, and then you re-enter the ocean.’ Anyway, I really love you all. I’m really thankful for the support. I’m really thankful for the love."
Sources at the time stated the pair mutually ended their relationship after it became clear they were "growing apart".
An insider said: "It was mutual. Jack and Lena were growing apart and it just made sense for them to end their relationship where it was. They want the best for each other no matter what. They are both moving on."
