Little Mix hated their third album Get Weird

Little Mix "cried" during the tough recording sessions for their third album ‘Get Weird’.
The girl group – consisting of Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall – have admitted the conception of their latest hit LP was difficult because they felt they had "got stuck in a rut" musically.
Jesy told the new issue of Cosmopolitan magazine: "We got stuck in a rut. The album wasn’t good enough. It took us a year, locked in a tiny studio, to write it. It was horrid. We cried so much. We hit rock bottom."
The 24-year-old pop beauty – who is engaged to Rixton’s Jake Roche – also revealed one of the songs featured seven different choruses before they nailed the right one and even Leigh-Anne, also 24, who is usually the "most positive" out of all the band members, was "getting down".
Jesy added: "There was one song we wrote seven different choruses for and it still wasn’t right. Leigh-Anne is the most positive person in the group and even she was getting down."
However, their determination to ensure the album was the perfect pop LP paid off.
‘Get Weird’ – released in November 2015 – was Little Mix’s highest peaking album in the UK reaching number two on the official album chart and it also charted in high positions all over the world. As of February 2016 it has combined sales of over 604,000 copies worldwide.
‘Black Magic’ – the first single from the LP – went on to become one of the group’s biggest ever hits.
