Little Mix enjoy success at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards

Little Mix were among the winners at this year’s BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards at Wembley Arena on Sunday (21.10.18).
The chart-topping girl group – which features Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson – were on hand to collect their Best British Group accolade at the ceremony in London, beating the likes of The 1975, Clean Bandit, Rudimenta,l and Years and Years to claim the gong.
The group – who won the award for a second successive year – told the crowd: "You guys are just the best fans in the world and thanks so much for the support you’ve given us over the last seven years."
Other big-name winners included Ed Sheeran, who was named Best British Solo Artist, and Shawn Mendes, who won the Best International Solo Artist gong.
Meanwhile, the South Korean boy band BTS were named as the Best International Group, and George Ezra won Best British Single with ‘Shotgun’.
BTS were also named the Social Media Star winners, while outspoken rapper Cardi B – who has become involved in a public spat with Nicki Minaj over recent months – won the Most Entertaining Celeb prize.
Elsewhere, ‘Love Island’ was named the Best TV Show and ‘The Greatest Showman’ – which starred the likes of Hugh Jackman, Zendaya and Zac Efron – topped the Best Film category.
The winners of the awards were all voted for by BBC Radio 1 listeners.
