Lionel Richie photos to go on display in London

Never-before-seen pictures of Lionel Richie will be unveiled during an exhibition documenting his outstanding career.
The ‘All Night Long’ hitmaker has been photographed across the years by long-time friend Alan Silfen and the images will be unveiled in a special exhibition – which is titled ‘STILL’ – to be held at 45 Park Lane hotel in Mayfair, London throughout July.
Lionel said: "I’ve known Al for many years and he has become part of the family. He’s an amazing artist as well as a friend. It’s great to see all of the photographs displayed together and the experiences we’ve shared.
"What’s unique about this exhibition has been the selection process – revisiting the memories, the good times and stories from each special moment as well as being able to rework some of the photos especially for this."
Whilst Silfen added: "These photographs are really personal to me – I have been something of a friendly voyeur in Lionel’s life.
"The Glastonbury photo is one of my favourites – the crowd went wild, it was the biggest crowd the Pyramid ever saw. Later that night we were having a celebratory meal at CUT at 45 Park Lane when we heard ‘The Definitive Collection’ had gone to #1 in the UK."
The images – which include snapshots taken of Lionel with the likes of Princess Diana, Frank Sinatra and Tina Turner – will go on display in BAR 45 at the London hotel from July 4th to July 29th.
John Scanlon, general manager of 45 Park Lane, shared: "Alan Silfen’s photography charting Lionel Richie’s career is an exceptional addition to Bar 45’s rolling art programme. We are delighted to have ‘STILL’ on exhibition for the first time at 45 Park Lane."
