Lionel Richie: I’m open to having more kids

Lionel Richie wants more children.
The 67-year-old star – who has adopted daughter Nicole, 34, and Miles, 22, and Sofia, 17, with his ex-wife Diana Alexander Richie – has revealed he wouldn’t mind adding to his brood with girlfriend Lisa Parigi.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I’m willing to become a father again. I might have just let a secret slip there, but so be it – Lisa and I are cool with the idea of children.
"Marriage, on the other hand, is a very different issue, it’s a bad idea for men. I’ve been there twice and it was very expensive for me. I’ve no idea to go there a third time – women have killed it for me. Kids aren’t the problem – ex-wives are. That’s why I won’t marry again, but I’m happy to commit in other ways."
It is a change of tune from Lionel after he previously admitted he isn’t likely to have anymore kids as he isn’t "superhuman".
Asked what he thought of Rolling Stones rocker Ronnie Wood having twins at the age of 69, he quipped: "When you can defy the laws of gravity anyway, of course he can have kids – twins, to be exact.
"If you really want to kill me, give me some more kids! I’m fascinated about life, but I think I’m over the fact that I’d want to have any more kids. I don’t think it will happen. They have defied it all – life and death. Mick and the boys, they are super-human."
And the ‘All Night Long’ singer feels his life is a lot less "rock ‘n’ roll" than Ronnie’s.
He added: "With Ronnie, we’ve come to expect something different anyway. He is living a full rock ‘n’ roll life. I am very happy for him. I don’t think anybody’s shocked.
"And by the way, don’t attempt to copy anything they do, because you’re going to die a thousand times."
