Lindsay Lohan wants to be reunited with the ‘Mean Girls’ cast for a sequel.
One of the 30-year-old actress’ most famous roles is playing teenager Regina George in the 2004 high school comedy drama and Lindsay is constantly asked about the possibility of a follow-up film
Lindsay is proud of the movie and would love to get back together with her co-stars such as Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried,
Lizzy Caplan and Tina Fey and see where the characters are now in their life.
Speaking in an interview on ‘Good Morning Britain’ on Tuesday (21.02.17), she said: "I hope that someone invites me back soon – let’s leave it at that. I’d like to (film a ‘Mean Girls 2’) yeah, bring the old cast back, it would be really fun with all of us."
And for fans wondering if Lindsay is working on any other movies, she added: "Not at the moment, I’m going to start filming something after the summer."
Until then Lindsay has just filmed the sizzle reel for a new TV show. in which she takes over people’s social media accounts.
Explaining the concept to ‘GMB’ hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, she said: "It’s called ‘Nerd’ and basically I hack and take over your social media for 24 hours. I would love to do yours Piers! I take it over and there’s a series of dares – that you probably think you’re good at but that your friends will tell me you’re not good at – and I can make money with those dares and that goes to charities."
After the interview, Piers logged onto Twitter to post a selfie of himself with Lindsay along with the tweet: "Mean Girl meets Nice Boy. Lovely to see you again @lindsaylohan – & thanks for a great interview. @GMB (sic)"
Lindsay clearly has ‘Mean Girls’ on her mind as she is even up for writing a script for the sequel to make it happen and has been discussing the project with ‘Saturday Night Live’ creator Lorne Michaels who produced the original film.
She said: "I went to ‘SNL’ the other day and I was like harassing Lorne Michaels, I’m like we have to do, I’ll write the treatment – If Tina Fey’s too busy … It will come when the time is right. It’s a great movie. It’s a cult film. I want to make my own movies. I don’t want to have to answer to anyone, just focus, stay focus and really surround yourself with a good people."
