Linda Carter confesses rape hell to Stacey Slater

EastEnders’ Linda Carter is to confess her rape hell to Stacey Slater.

The Queen Vic landlady – played by Kellie Bright – will finally open up about being sexually assaulted by Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) when she realises Stacey (Lacey Turner) is growing close to him.

Linda – whose husband Mick (Danny Dyer) is yet to discover that Dean is in fact his brother and not his nephew – was left so traumatised by the rape that she hasn’t been able to bring herself to tell anyone but decides to warn Stacey, who has a young daughter named Lily, when she realises they’ve become romantically involved.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Linda can see that Stacey’s falling for Dean and she can’t just sit back and watch it happen, given everything she knows.

"She would hate it if Stacey were to be attacked when she could have done something to prevent it. It’s a big moment for Linda to open up about what happened to her, but it’s going to open up a massive can of worms."

The emotional scenes are set to air next month and, in the meantime, Linda will be seen confessing to husband Mick that she’s pregnant on tonight’s (21.11.14) episode of the BBC One soap and while he’s thrilled with the news, she is unsure as to who the baby belongs to.

The source added: "When Mick finds out that Linda’s not only been raped but she’s pregnant too, he’s going to lose the plot."
