Liam Gallagher to headline TRNSMT festival

Liam Gallagher is set to headline TRNSMT festival.
The ‘Wall of Glass’ hitmaker will perform at the festival in Glasgow Green on Saturday June 30, 2018, continuing on his huge solo success in 2017.
The Courteeners – known for their hits including ‘Not Nineteen Forever’, ‘Are You in Love With a Notion?’ and ‘You Overdid It Doll’ – will also perform over that weekend as well as Wolf Alice and J Hus.
Geoff Ellis, Head of DF Concerts, said: "We’re absolutely thrilled to announce TRNSMT 2018’s line-up – all four bands are testament to the brilliant British music scene right now and will offer an amazing day of music for TRNSMT fans on June 30.
"It’s set to be a brilliant summer of music. We’re bringing some of the best world-class artists to Glasgow Green, with many more exciting announcements still to come. TRNSMT’s outstanding audience in July this year showed the world why TRNSMT should be central to the festival music calendar. Much like in 2017, TRNSMT will showcase some of the best up and coming talent in the UK, mixed with world-class artists so stay tuned as there’s so much more to come!"
Liam has had a successful year so far, going in straight to number one on the Official Albums Chart with his debut solo album ‘As You Were’ with 103,000 sales in the first week.
In a video message at the time, he said: "Well, well, well, what do we ‘ave here? I reckon it looks like a Number 1 record, brothers and sisters. Woohoo! I wanna thank everyone who bought it. I want to thank everyone who helped make it. As you were."
Liam’s impressive figures continued to flood in as it was also revealed that he sold 16,000 vinyl copies, which is the biggest one week vinyl sales in over two decades.
TRNSMT festival returns across two weekends on June 29 to July 1, 2018 and July 6 to 8, 2018. Presale for tickets begins at 9am on Wednesday November 29, with tickets going on sale at 9am on Friday December 1 from www.TRNSMTfest.com.
